I can see that a reader of this blog is having trouble to use his/her own Banner for program he/she joined. So, I write a short tutorial to guide him/her to use self created custom banner for programs and use it on blog.

1st Step:
Of course, you will need a banner. You can either create it using Paint, Photoshop or any other softwares that you are familiar with. Normally, I use Paint because it is loading much faster than Photoshop.

2nd Step:
Upload to Blogger in your blog post.
i. Go to "Create new post".
ii. Click the "Add image" button and upload the image of your banner.

3rd Step:
Your code will look like the code below:

You only need the "THE LINK/URL OF YOUR IMAGE". Copy it.

Safe Strategies for New Google AdWords Users

Here I am trying to address strategies to minimize risk when starting new adwords ad campaigns. If you’re new to Google AdWords, have a limited budget, don’t know what your current conversion rate is, or want to advertise some new products and aren’t sure how well they will sell; than these tips will keep costs low.

1. When first setting up a campaign, turn off the content network. This option is “on” by default. It’s a form of contextual advertising and tries to position your ads on sites like About.com, The New York Times, Food Network and others. You typically will see high impressions in your system, but often low CTR–click-through-rates, as determined by impressions to clicks–and low-quality clicks. These aren’t serious buyers; they’re wasting your dollars and time.

New campaigns should be limited to Google.com and in some cases Google’s search network. This will limit where your ads are displayed to the strongest converting traffic until you can verify that you are getting a decent conversion rate.

2. Use VERY specific (long tail) keywords and keyword phrases to describe your product. Avoid generic words that apply to multiple products and especially if you sell only upscale or expensive versions of the item. (Searchers are more likely to be in the market for the cheaper versions. Whenever possible use keywords that will target only what you are selling.)

3. Keywords should be entered as phrase and exact match ONLY (no broad match keyword phrases). If your budget is really tight or there may be more traffic than you need use exact match only and create ad groups with one to four keywords, tightly matched.

4. Set up campaigns using keywords + geo targets using Google’s own internal selections (regions, territories);

5. Put negative keywords in the new campaign immediately. Use any single word that shows up in any keyword research that doesn’t apply to what you sell as a negative keyword. Then do a search in Google.com and scour the sites that show up for every other use of any word used in your phrases and add those as negative keywords too. (Enter negative keywords as individual words - not as phrases.)

So i have been with Clicksor for a number of years now. The other night i noticed my number of clicks flying through the roof. Could this be a result of clickbombing? It turns out the clicks were legit. Clicksor has a nice little Inline text link feature. Basically when you paste a bit of code into your page their script will then scan for various keywords and turn them into ads. Have a look at the image bellow.

I have been using this technique for quite some time now. For example i would provide my users with some file they really want to download. Right bellow the file thumbnail i would write something along the lines of: “Download now”. The actual download link would appear 200 or so pixels bellow. I then add contextual inline ads code provided by Clicksor. What would happen in most cases is that eventually “Download now” will get underlined and turned into the link. So after another one of my blogs got to the front page of digg i thought i would have a look at my visitor stats to see what operating systems are used by diggers, Surely it should be majority macs, Second Linux and only a few people using windows, Right? Well it should be if you go by what diggers say. But as it turns out most of them are frauds who either a) pretend to hate the operating system they use or b) pretend to be rich enough and cool enough to use macs.

I started the PC Doctor blog in May of 2005 and for the first few months my traffic was really low - down in the few hundreds of visitors a day. It was pretty depressing I can tell you and there were times when I thought about quitting. I knew that the site was in the Google ’sandbox’ and so I either had to keep on plugging at it until it was out or I had to give up.

Fortunately, I decided to keep on posting but in the interim I decided that I was also going to do my utmost to drive traffic to my site manually until Google kicked in. I took a look around at what some of the successful blogs were doing and came up with three tactics that helped to double my website traffic in a month.

First, I made the most of Technorati tags. I tagged every key word in each of my posts. Initially I did this manually but them I discovered a WordPress plugin called SimpleTags that made the job a whole lot easier.
I found that by tagging my post effectively they were getting a lot more attention then their untagged counterparts, and as an added advantage I was getting focused, quality traffic to the site!
I leveraged my existing website. I’ve been running my business website for a few years and that was getting modest levels of traffic that was relevant to my blog - so why not try to drive some of that to my new blog! I placed a few FeedBurner headline animator blocks on some of my most popular pages and after a day or so I noticed a significant increase in traffic for 5 minutes worth of work on my part.

The results from this are varied depending on the site and post that you are linking to but since I liked to comment and interact with the wider blogosphere anyway, it was free traffic!

---> Placing your ads on your right hand side is better. As I said, people are lazy. Most of the time our mouse cursor will be at right hand side as most people are using right hand to handle the mouse. Therefore, Click-Through-Rates(CTR) will be higher if your ads are situated on the right.

The AdSense Placement Makes the Difference!

As you can see here, I make some changes to the AdSense Ads placements in this blog. It is quite challenging and quite risky to do so because if I use wrong placements of the AdSense Ads, I will lose money.

I divided the placements test to 5 days.
"Day 1: Changing and testing different Colors of the Ads.
Day 2: Checking the number of Clicks and earnings in my AdSense Report.
Day 3: Testing new placements.
Day 4: Checking the Earnings Reports.
Day5: Satisfied and make no changes."

From my observations and analysis of ProBlogger, Da GSense Code, Success Stories in Inside AdSense and so on. I discover a similarity of the Ads Placement that make them very successful in Google AdSense. Their AdSense Secret is the Ads Placement in the Post Area.

Day 1: I try to change the color of the Ads. It is not very effective.

Day 2: My earnings went down and very low CTR and earnings.

Day 3: Placing the Ads into my Post Area. Spent some time to test and make changes, quite challenging.

Day 4: WOW!!! The earnings went up. It is 3 times my usual earnings. Great!!!

DAy 5: I check the Earning Report again. My earnings increase again. That is really great!!! Now, I'm satisfied and make no changes anymore.

Generate A Sitemap For Fast Search Engine Indexing

A Sitemap is an XML file that inform search engines of your blog or website urls which you would like to be crawled or indexed. It will also contain brief information about each url such as title and descriptions. This will ensure your blog or website to be index much faster and more accurately.

Creating a sitemap is important as it forms a communication between your blog or website with the search engines. This helps especially if you use non-HTML linkages such as ajax, javascript or flash navigation.

Once your sitemap is ready, you can submit it to Google Webmaster Central and Yahoo SiteExplorer but for now lets look at how to create a sitemap.

For Wordpress blogs, this is done fairly easily and automatically by using the Google XML Sitemaps plugin which will notify all major search engines when your sitemap is updated by editing or creating a new post.

Blogspot blogs have it even easier since it is already built in. All you have to do is add atom.xml to your blogspot url. For example http://yourblog.blogspot.com/atom.xml and submit it.

As for websites, you can use the following free online sitemap generators:

"Why We Are Not AdSense Millionaire Bloggers?"

You might have came across a lot of articles and a lot of AdSense gurus who are making a lot of money from their blog using Google AdSense. A lot of them are showing their earning information on their blog or site. Some of them might be really making Millions from Google AdSense but some of them might be only cheating. Anyway, we are not going to talk about whether they are cheating or not. We are going to talk about the reasons we are not making Millions from Google AdSense.

How is that possible to make Millions from Google AdSense?
I found a great bloggerand everyone call him Problogger, that is making Millions from Google AdSense and he is making more money than we can imagine.

What makes him so successful?
The only thing that makes him so successful to make a killing using Google AdSense is because he got plenty of traffic and update his blog very frequently.

From his blog, I can see that he is having more than 40k readers using Feedburner. Imagine the power of Feedburner.
